YEARS END OR YEARS BEGINNING ?

Every year i post something at this time of the year... i reflect back on the many good and bad times , The lessons Learned . I have always been quite an optimist when it comes to Keeping my head over water... today has been so incredible as I woke opened my eyes and swore to be Happy and positive , but you see sometimes time has something else for you... I decided to go get a Nice hair Cut . As i had planned on taking my daughters out for A New Years Eve Dinner ... So i get a hair cut and during this time i get the bad news that My road manager had broke his foot and had to have emergency surgery.. And his Grandfather passed all in the same day. There were many bouts over the day regarding where i would spend the evening ... and i felt completely pulled in 9 Different directions..But the whole time my mind kept going back to the origianl goal. THAT I WOULD ENJOY AN OPPORTUNITY TO START A NEW YEAR WITH NO CLAIM TO RELIVE OR REDO ANYTHING THAT WAS NEGATIVE LAST YEAR. I smiled even thinking about my mantra " That no one moment defines your whole being , and that every moment of breath was a second chance" A chance to forgive all and yourself which releases the weight of lifes heaviness. As i type this i wish and speak total success to all that want it. You have the tools and the power to be as grand , wonderful and beautiful as you want, Seize the moment and ponder no more. Pray in the spirit of the ancestors and all that came before you , remember to fight , live with courage and Life free.... Free in your own mind first... Peace - SAFARI-BLACK P.S. - HAPPY NEW YEAR

SAFARI-BLACK: Black scale -x- Tenderloin Project (Responsible Crafters)

Vegan Black bean Burgers....- Recipee

Ingredients:

1/2 onion, diced
1 can Organic black beans, well drained
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
salt and pepper to taste
oil for frying
note: there are no rules to cooking put in or substitute whatever you want flavor wise... , some people put in crumbled bread i left it out to cut carbs...
Sautee the onions till soft, about 3-5 minutes.
In a large bowl, mash the beans until almost smooth. Add sauteed onions and the rest of the ingredients, except the oil, adding the flour a few tablespoons at a time to combine well. Mixture will be thick.

Form bean mixture into patties, approximately ½ inch thick and fry patties in a small amount of oil until slightly firm. Make veggie burgers and enjoy!

Garnishment : eat on bread/buns or by themselves.....

In Preparation of my 3 forthcoming releases I am drawing inspiration from many places authors , activist , athletes , comedians and the Champ "Muhammad Ali" so in Honor of his Birthday i am posting this Happy B-day Champ !

How to Make VEGAN mock BBQ Ribs

INGREDIENTS

1) VITAL WHEAT Gluten
2) Peanut Butter
3) soy sauce
4) dry yeast
5) water
6) sea salt , canjun seasoning , garlic powder
7) Canola Oil

Directions : pour 2 cups gluten ,1 1/2 cups water ,1 cup smooth peanut butter
1/2 canola dry yeast , & soy sauce into a bowl ..pouring water last

Then mix them in a bowl until the yeast reacts to the water forming a ball , any loose mix can be molded to the ball by pressing with a large eating spoon.





THen flaten the Ball on a Counter or cooking pan.....Then section into pieces using a sharp pizza cutter.



Coat your cooking pan with canola Oil and place pieces in pan , Cook on medium heat until browned





Coat the Mock ribs with Barbeque Sauce and serve... Tip: Allow the sauce to blacken on one side will give them the flavor of being grilled.

The other day someone asked me if i missed soul food ? i chuckled and replied A vegan diet does not have to be flavor or culture free. There are numerous adaptations that can be worked in the kitchen , the Standard American diet rotates around meat and not the sides but there are infinite possibilities in the kitchen . I enjoy vegan buffalo style tofu made with soy margarine and Cheyenne sauce , southern style fried battered tofu , mock Seitan Ribs bbq style and list goes on .Fundamentally there are no rules to cooking period and this entry is to not point fingers at those who have been misinformed but to show another side of the Vegan Movement ...The black one...

Its an incredible discussion about the politricks in the food industry. It is very controversial as its truthful content hurts the sales of the FOOD_DRUG industry .
